*This role requires weekly attendance at our Kirkby Lonsdale office. We're looking for local candidates from Lancashire or Manchester who are comfortable with the commute. JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The business is scaling quickly on a journey to £10m in Revenue and the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the finance function along with the Co-Founder. Your voice will be heard and the successful applicant will play a senior role in strategic company decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Xero. We are looking for somebody with entrepreneurial spirit, keen to develop and grow, whilst showing an interest in all aspects of the business. This is a hybrid role with the successful candidate expected to be in the office up to 3 times per week (depending on location). We will need you to bring energy, hard work, intelligence, creativity, great conversation and above all we like to hire people who are hungry to be part of something very special, oh and we like working with nice people too! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ​Financial Planning o Preparing annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial models o Preparing and updating a 13 week rolling cash flow o Monitoring performance against budget (variance analysis) and offering insights to leadership o Supporting decision-making with financial data and scenario planning o Assist owners with making strategic decisions on the growth of the company o Working with heads of department to advise on budget allocation o Monitoring day to day cash positions ensuring sufficient liquidity o Managing payment terms with supplier and ensuring customers are paying line with credit terms o Assist with supply chain forecasting ensuring we are well stocked for all SKU’s and packaging Management Reporting o Producing monthly management accounts with commentary on performance ensuring we are analysing trends and making recommendations based on data o Tracking KPIs relevant to the drinks/food manufacturing sector (e.g., gross margin, COGS, stock turnover). o Providing regular financial updates to directors and key department heads. Financial Controls & Compliance o Implementing and maintaining robust financial processes and internal controls. o Ensuring compliance with HMRC, Companies House, and other statutory bodies. o Managing VAT returns, PAYE, and year-end audit preparation. Bookkeeping o Raising invoices and reconciling payments o Credit Control o Review, approve and pay employee expenses o Review, approve and pay supplier invoices o Management of company payroll o Collate accurate monthly stock figures Skills and Experience • At least 3 years experience in a similar position • Ideally you will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, however part qualified will be considered and support provided through final exams • Proficient in using accounting systems, we use Xero. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of operational and business needs. • Excellent attention to detail, time management and exceptional organisation skills. • Proficient in excel and all Microsoft apps. • Strong understanding of navigating through reports and recognising areas of improvement. • Strong collaboration, team communication – our team is vibrant, fun and energetic. • Keen interest in the food and beverage space What we can offer. • Hybrid working • To be part of something special with a brand and people that truly care • £35-£45k based on experience • Company laptop (Apple MacBook) • There will be some travel expected • 25 days holiday (5 weeks holiday) • Pension • Private Health Care • Gym membership If you are interested in applying for this position.
