Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 – Reference TAP/FW Term Time After School Nanny A family in Taplow are seeking a part-time nanny to assist with their two children, aged four and two years old. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primary-aged children, supporting them to become independent and enjoy their learning, as well as maintaining a fun, safe and happy home environment. They are looking for someone who enjoys making children laugh and likes to help with colouring as well as playing with all things trains and cars! The school and nursery are both within walking distance of the family home, although a driver is preferred. The preferred start date is mid-February 2026. The family require two or three working days per week, and the candidate may choose which days they prefer. Hours are from 15:15 to 19:00, although a 16:20 start time is also possible. If a candidate would like more hours, there is an option to add one or two hours in the morning to assist with the school drop-off. This is a term-time only role (state term times). Extra hours during term holidays can be arranged if required. Primary responsibilities include collecting the children from school and nursery, preparing dinner for them, assisting with homework, organising their clothes and school bags for the following day, providing fun activities after school or visiting local parks, and generally keeping the children happy and entertained. Additional Details A driver is not essential, though preferred, and parking is available. The candidate must provide their own car. The household has no pets. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience working with children. It is preferred that applicants hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, or be willing to obtain one. All applicants must have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one. Salary offered is £18 gross per hour.
