Operational Support Grade Job Overview
This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy prison. You will be part of a team that plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the facility.
The job involves a range of tasks, including security and searches at the gate, managing deliveries, supervising visitors, and monitoring phone calls and CCTV.
You will work closely with other teams to ensure the prison runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the operational team in maintaining the safety and security of the prison
* Contribute to the efficient running of the facility by undertaking various tasks such as searching prisoners, managing deliveries, and supervising visitors
* Work closely with other teams to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to remain calm under pressure. You will also need to be able to work well in a team and have good judgement and common sense.
No qualifications are required for this role, but having a Level 2 qualification in customer service would be advantageous.
