The Role
As a MET Technician, you’ll work on a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and trim components are correctly removed, refitted, and fully functioning post-repair. Your work is key to restoring vehicles that businesses rely on every day.
Key responsibilities:
14. Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim work on commercial vehicles
15. Stripping and refitting components to enable structural and cosmetic repairs
16. Diagnosing faults and reinstating safety-critical systems
17. Working collaboratively with estimators, panel, and paint teams to keep repairs on track
18. Delivering work to high standards, aligned with manufacturer specifications and internal quality checks
What You’ll Need
19. Proven experience as an MET Technician, ideally in commercial or heavy vehicle environments
20. Relevant qualifications (IMI, NVQ, or ATA in MET preferred)
21. Sound knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
22. Methodical, accurate approach to work with strong fault-finding skills
23. A team-focused attitude with a commitment to safety and repair quality
