An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to support the design, development, and certification of aerospace products from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review customer requirements, technical specifications, and Statements of Work
2. Support bids and sales activities with technical proposals and certification plans
3. Produce 2D and 3D CAD designs ensuring manufacturability and compliance
4. Prepare certification documentation including test plans, reports, and compliance checklists
5. Maintain design documentation, including design changes and reviews
6. Support root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations
7. Liaise with suppliers on development, testing, and documentation
8. Participate in project reviews and customer/supplier meetings
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
10. Experience in a design and/or certification engineering environment
11. Knowledge of aerospace or regulated industry standards (e.g. CAA, EASA, FAA, or similar)
12. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)
13. Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture
14. Experience with GD&T and technical drawings
15. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
16. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
17. Experience with root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
18. Lean / Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma knowledge
19. Experience with PDM / PLM / ERP systems
20. Background in aerospace or other highly regulated industries
Working Hours
21. Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15
22. Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
23. Every other Friday off (9-day fortnight)
