Not only will you play a key role in supporting and delivering the company’s digital strategy – to be the UK’s no.1 digital builders’ merchant – but you will also shape, deliver, and grow colleague-facing digital products that empower and support our colleagues to deliver exceptional service. Location: Northampton (Hybrid) What you’ll do: Understand and define colleague and branch operational requirements for future digital products. Produce user stories (instructions) to feed into the offshore development team, ensuring colleague needs and branch operational considerations are addressed. Prioritise efforts to provide colleagues with the digital products and tools they need to succeed. Own and refine the digital backlog, incorporating insights from internal and external stakeholders. Assess quality and speed of development while driving standards. Work collaboratively to establish a shared vision across the company, coordinating consensus on priorities and communicating the ongoing product development journey to stakeholders. Define objectives and measure benefits for your prioritised initiatives to ensure delivery of digital experiences that meet both colleague and customer needs. Present and make recommendations to stakeholders at all levels with confidence Champion the colleagues’ needs while partnering with the business and technology teams to break complex problems down into achievable initiatives. Influence, challenge, and negotiate with others at a senior level to discuss and reach agreement. Ideally you’ll have: Experience of defining, shaping, leading, and facilitating end-to-end business product transformations and optimisations. A focus on results, with excellent interpersonal skills to keep people energised, positive, and focused on delivering value. Demonstrable experience of bringing products to market and managing the full end-to-end product development process. Experience in contributing to business cases, ROI creation, and budget management. Ability to establish and disseminate an ambitious product vision and inspire the product development team. An understanding of branch operations and how digital tools can enhance colleague workflows and processes. Analytical skills in order to investigate, understand, and provide solutions to complex issues affecting colleagues and customers.
