We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Baby Room Senior Practitioner to join our team and lead our baby room with confidence and care.
The Role:
As the Baby Room Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the baby room, ensuring a safe, loving, and engaging environment for children aged 0–2 years. You will lead a small team of practitioners, model outstanding practice, and support the learning and development of every child in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Room Leader to lead and inspire a team of baby room practitioners
* Plan and implement age-appropriate, stimulating activities based on the EYFS
* Build strong relationships with babies and their families
* Monitor and support children's development, keeping accurate records and assessments
* Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment at all times
* Support the transition of babies into the nursery and as they progress through rooms
* Work collaboratively with the management team to uphold nursery policies and values
Requirements:
* Level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years Education (essential)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a baby room or with children under 2
* Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A warm, caring, and nurturing personality with a passion for early years
