Vacancy: Assistant Workshop Manager
Location: Nottingham, East Midlands
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 17:30 & 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:30 - 13:00
Salary: Basic: £32,000 OTE £37,000

Job Responsibilities and Tasks: Assistant Workshop Manager
General
* Promote and maintain the company image, acting as a brand ambassador.
* Support and assist the Branch Manager.
* Stay updated with all services and products offered by the company and your site.
* Actively seek out personal development and learning opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company policies.
* Maintain Autocentre housekeeping standards at all times.
Sales
* Pre-populate Service/MOT Inspections with vehicle history and service interval requirements.
* Utilize all sales opportunities while providing honest, transparent, and informative service to customers.
* Wait for inspections to come through and coordinate with the manager on pending inspections.
* Build inspection report quotes, acquire costs, and communicate with customers.
* Clearly communicate work required to customers face-to-face or over the phone.
* Set reminders for follow-up contact with customers who decline work.
* Monitor branch GP and NPS scores, striving to maintain high levels.
General Operations/Admin
* Order parts from suppliers for upcoming jobs.
* Greet customers, complete check-in, and confirm details and work to be done.
* Update technicians and branch manager on additional work expectations.
* Keep track of all jobs and their status, updating customers accordingly.
* Enter invoices into the system upon receipt of parts.
* Manage stock levels, return unused items, and chase credits from suppliers.
* Oversee operations, sales, and customer satisfaction in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Any other duties as requested by the company.
Requirements
* At least 2 years supervisory experience.
* Proven ability to nurture talent.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Valid, Full UK Driver's license.
