Key responsibilities and duties
Receptionist
Duties will include:
· General reception style duties e.g. taking calls, transferring to the relevant team member and greeting visitors.
· Taking and managing enquiries, both face to face and on the phone. Proactively booking show arounds from the enquiries, updating the enquiry tracker and following up on all leads.
· It is important that as the front of house, you 'sell' our home and service.
· Being there to greet family members and to care and to listen.
· To liaise with staff as required to support with the cover of shifts
· Prepare and maintain stationary orders and stock, as needed
· To support the management team to liaise with GP surgeries / pharmacies to manage medication stocks effectively
Administrative Assistant
Duties will include:
· general correspondence and preparation / submission of documents and packs of information to stakeholders, including to other departments e.g. invoices to finance;
· provision of accurate and efficient typing and other administrative support from written and recorded material, utilising Microsoft Office to ensure that documents are well presented and fit Highborder Lodge branding;
· supporting the management team with diary management and preparing for meetings / assessments;
· supporting the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees and liaising with HR, as required;
Collaborative Duties Include:
· To facilitate routine health and safety checks, as required
· attending training courses and sessions, as required;
· maintaining service users, staff and business confidentiality at all times;
· responding positively to challenges, as they arise;
· any other duties as requested, within the reasonable remit of a Receptionist/Administrator role

Essential experience, knowledge and skills
· Understanding of elderly and dementia care
· Demonstrable administration experience;
· Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written with demonstrable experience of building positive working relationships and rapport with various stakeholders;
· Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up-to-date;
· Caring and compassionate towards service users in need of care and support;
· Commitment to respecting the rights of service users at all times and to promoting privacy, dignity and independence;
· Self-motivated and reliable;
· Good level of touch-typing skills with the ability to minute meetings;
· Good level of numeracy skills;
· A proficient user of Microsoft Office – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook;
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, where routine tasks are essential to the efficient running of Highborder Lodge
Desirable but not essential
· Previous experience of working in a care home or care environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
