The Role
Join us as an Organisational Development Officer
Are you passionate about helping people grow and thrive at work? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Organisational Development Officer to join our dynamic team at Bolton Council.
In this key role, you’ll help shape the future of our workforce by designing and delivering impactful learning and development programmes both online and in person. Your focus will be on enhancing people management capabilities and supporting leadership development across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
* Developing and facilitating engaging training sessions tailored to a range of audiences.
* Supporting the design and delivery of leadership development initiatives.
* Evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions and continuously improving our offer.
* Collaborating with colleagues to embed a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

About You
We’re looking for someone with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and influence managers across the organisation. While previous experience of working in a learning and development environment is not essential, you may have held a managerial role and bring a genuine commitment to supporting individuals, improving services, and driving organisational growth.
You’ll be resilient, flexible, and thrive in complex and changing environment and have strong organisational skills, self-discipline, and excellent presentation skills and experience in people management.
A recognised qualification in HR, training and development, teaching, or leadership is required.
