Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Chef to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built 72-bed facility in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. The role involves working alongside the Head Chef to ensure high-quality food service that supports residents' needs, contributing to their positive living experience. The position offers a 40-hour contract at an hourly rate of £12.75, with shift times from 07:30 to 17:30, including alternate weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
* Ensure menus are presented clearly, allowing residents to understand and make daily choices.
* Provide meals in sufficient quantities, considering dietary, ethnic, and personal preferences.
* Prepare nutritionally balanced, attractively presented food promptly and in the correct sequence.
* Follow and adhere to company HACCP standards and food safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and serving areas, complying with infection control policies and the Food Standards Act 1999.
* Manage and supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring quality service delivery.
* Motivate and inspire the team to produce high-standard food.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience during busy meal periods, including breakfast and dinner services.
* Experience working in a care home or similar environment.
* Knowledge of specialized diets and service delivery.
* Ability to contribute to and develop a four-week menu.
* Ability to maintain records demonstrating legal compliance.
