Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence, and Security division provides digital transformation, IT modernisation, and cybersecurity solutions to support critical operations in highly regulated industries. We collaborate with governments, defence agencies, and aerospace organisations to enhance efficiency, security, and innovation. We are seeking a Client Partner to lead the delivery of a strategically significant programme within the Defence sector - a critical initiative that plays a direct role in safeguarding the UK. This role centres on strengthening long-term client relationships, ensuring excellence in delivery, and driving the growth of a key account. You will be responsible for maintaining customer confidence, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our presence within the Defence space. This role requires the individual to hold active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance, to manage a delivery team in Hertfordshire and be willing to travel to various locations along the M4 and in Southwest England. What you will be doing: Oversee and manage the P&L, ensuring profitability and performance targets are met. Lead and motivate an IT delivery team, driving morale and ensuring high performance. Maintain and build on a strong customer relationship, ensuring their needs are understood and met. Demonstrate strategic guidance and leadership to the customer and across the delivery function, working closely with senior stakeholders within the Defence space. Contribute to the long-term vision of the business, ensuring future opportunities and challenges are anticipated and managed. Ensuring continuous improvement in delivery, resolving complex issues efficiently. What you will bring: Previous P&L experience. Track record in building, developing, and nurturing trusted relationships customer & delivery teams. Deep understanding of the Defence sector, including its challenges, operational processes, and strategic requirements Experience in the delivery of digital transformation projects, demonstrating the ability to translate customer needs into tangible outcomes. Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets, drive profitability, and identify growth opportunities. A strategic mindset with the ability to balance customer success with organisational goals, ensuring long term account growth and retention.
