The role
Looking for a flexible volunteering role? We have ad-hoc Retail Van Driver shifts available that can fit into your schedule! This rewarding opportunity allows you to get out and about while supporting a great cause.
This flexible role involves traveling across Leeds to support our shops and customers, while meeting our dedicated staff and fellow volunteers.
As a Volunteer Driver, you will:
1. Travel across Leeds collecting donations from customers' homes.
2. Deliver and collect items from our charity shops.
3. Represent St Gemma’s Hospice with a friendly and helpful attitude.
4. Enjoy flexible, ad hoc shifts available Monday to Friday (morning or afternoon).
5. This role is ideal for those seeking occasional volunteering opportunities.
6. Require a full driving licence and a good level of physical fitness due to manual handling tasks.

About us
St Gemma’s Hospice is an independent, Leeds-based charity and a leading UK hospice, providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care through our In-Patient Unit, community team, and Out-Patients services.
Our team includes around 300 employees across the main Hospice site in Moortown, the Retail Hub in Bramley, and numerous charity shops and community outreach programs. We also have approximately 800 volunteers supporting various roles throughout the organization.
