The Role
To manage and lead Service Improvement and Governance compliance across Medical/Surgical services within the acute division. Working to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Integrating Governance development, implementation, monitoring and review as a service imperative.
In This Key Role, You Will
* This post will be significant in terms of the scale and scope of its impact. It will drive the implementation of projects and whole-system redesign to lead to the stabilisation of specialities, development of new types of service or delivering existing services in a very different way.
* This project will need to be delivered within an extremely challenging timeframe and the impact of changes belonging to the project managed will have a major implication for the provision of Medical/Surgical services across NHS Lanarkshire.
* The ability to engage, develop and manage clinical input and other stakeholders to the redesign and change process will be paramount as will the ability to communicate information about the process of change taking place and the new service configuration.
* The Senior Service Support manager will also need to be cognisant of the impact of changes on the ability to deliver operational services and meet performance measures such as waiting times.
What You'll Bring
* Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Significant experience of working within a clinical service at a senior level delivering service change.
* Significant experience of working at a senior management level within the NHS.
* A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
