DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician to join our European team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.

This is a permanent contract working hours per week, Monday Friday 8am 4pm

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

1. Perform essential engine repairs and maintenance by following documented procedures to ensure quality and reliability.

2. Support workshop efficiency through accurate disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of engines and components.

3. Ensure compliance and safety by adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any incidents promptly.

4. Maintain operational readiness by keeping tools and work areas clean, organized, and in proper working condition.

5. Contribute to accurate service records by completing required documentation such as work orders, time sheets, and warranty claims.

6. Assist in troubleshooting and diagnostics under supervision, applying guided workflows and specialized tools to identify issues.

7. Participate in continuous learning by completing training aligned with business and technical requirements.

8. Support customer satisfaction by delivering timely, high-quality repairs that meet organizational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

9. Technical aptitude and mechanical knowledge: Ability to apply basic principles for engine repair and maintenance using appropriate tools and procedures.

10. Attention to detail and accountability: Committed to following safety standards, service guidelines, and accurate documentation practices.

11. Adaptability and willingness to learn: Open to acquiring new skills through training and hands-on experience in a dynamic workshop environment.

12. Effective communication and teamwork: Able to collaborate with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

13. Apprentice-trained Engine Technician (preferred) or vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.

14. Locally valid driving permit (preferred); this role may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

15. Workshop experience required; basic knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

16. Competencies: Strong commitment to health and safety, mechanical troubleshooting, and accurate service documentation.

100% On-Site Yes

Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
