Overview
We are recruiting for the role of a Social Worker in the Duty & Assessment Team covering Rugby on a full-time/permanent basis, based at Oakfield Park, Rugby. The team is a Family Help Team that works with families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents’ care or with a plan of reunification home. The team is multi-agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO’s and NHS nurses, all working together to meet holistic needs and reduce risk while keeping families together. We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans that meet each family’s needs and help them achieve positive change.
Our offer includes a supportive management environment with robust supervision, recognition, wellbeing and workload focus; full reimbursement of the Social Work England annual fee; a Volunteering & Wellbeing Day in addition to generous annual leave and an extra day at Christmas; and a Refer a Friend package where applicable. There is a market supplement for Experienced Social Worker roles (K, L, N) up to £51,726.00 (includes a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement; subject to pension, tax and NI deductions; terms apply).

Key Requirements
Working hours – 37 hours per week, with agile and flexible working options generally from 9:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 9:00 to 17:00 on Fridays.
Applicants will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
* Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
* In-depth experience in children’s social work with experience of complex cases
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make well-informed decisions
* Ability to record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with children and families
