MACHINE OPERATIVE – IRLAM People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our well-established client based in Irlam. Immediate starts available. Monday to Friday working, no weekend work, ongoing training, and a genuine Temp to Perm opportunity with rates of up to £16.00 per hour. Our client is initially looking for experienced CNC Operators, Programmers, or Setters to support fabrications on the shop floor, producing small and large one-off cabinets. This role would suit candidates with experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist, Machine Operator or Manufacturing Operative. Why Apply for This Role? • Temp to Perm opportunity • Rates of up to £16.00 per hour depending on experience • Monday to Friday working pattern • No weekend working • Overtime available • Ongoing training and development • Free onsite parking Shifts: • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 (early finish Friday) • Must be able to start at 06:00 if required during busy periods Rates of Pay: • £12.71 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience) Benefits: Your benefits as a Machine Operative will include: • Overtime available • Long-term opportunity with a stable business • Opportunity to get a permanent contract • Ongoing training and development • Site parking • No weekend working Day-to-Day Duties: As a Machine Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Operating CNC Elumatec, CNC HAAS and Elumatec dual mitre saw to produce cabinets and lockers • Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings • Programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery • Carrying out routine machine maintenance • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues • Maintaining accurate production and material records • Applying mathematical calculations for measurements and tolerances Essential Skills: To be successful as a Machine Operative, you will need: • Previous CNC machining experience • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills • Experience with tooling, materials handling, and hand tools • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Good length of service within CNC machining environments Desirable Experience: • Experience operating CNC Elumatec, CNC HAAS and Elumatec dual mitre saw machinery Training Provided: • Full industry-related training with ongoing development support Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a Machine Operative, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
