Job overview

Services for children, young people and families within Gwent area. As a clinician within our Community Embedded Team (CET) for eating disorders, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of new developments.

The CET ED Team is a bespoke community service (the hub being CORE CAMHS) underpinned by the Maudsley Family based model, empowering families to care for their child presenting with an eating disorder through assessment, risk management and early intervention based on a multi-disciplinary team approach.

As part of the Mental Health Measure, in order to apply for this post one of the following qualifications/registrations is essential: Registered Nurse - Mental Health, Registered Nurse - Learning Disabilities, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker


Main duties of the job

The eating disorders (CET ED) will aim to:

* Provide a MDT specialist eating disorder triage of new referrals and assessment clinic, risk management and interventions based on the Maudsley model and the MEED risk framework for medical management and re-feeding.
* Assist in the delivery of a training programme covering prevention, recognition, referral and interventions for a range of health, education and primary care services.
* Provide consultation and collaborative joint working in some cases.
* Undertake detailed triage of cases as they are referred to ensure timely access to the assessment process.
* Offer brief intervention for those young people who do not require new core partnership work from the Core ED team
* Support other parts of CAMHS / the system to hold on where appropriate

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Knowledge
