Job summary
Through our exclusive partnership with Sweco, we are pleased to announce their latest recruitment need - an RBI at minimum class 2D upwards with experience dealing with commercial schemes. If this sounds like you, then I'm keen to hear from you.

Through our partnership with SWECO Building Control, we offer an opportunity to join their experienced Preston team. You will work on some of the most prestigious commercial projects in the UK, within a team with extensive BC knowledge. They are open to surveyors at various levels, with the minimum being class 2D, but also senior/principal surveyors at class 2F or class 3.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of commercial buildings to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
* Assess plans, specifications, and designs to confirm they meet legal requirements.
* Manage large-scale technical projects with complex components, ensuring all aspects are covered.
* Take responsibility for contractual liabilities in bids.
* Understand the risk profile within contracts and identify new business opportunities.
* Engage with contacts to generate sales and build relationships, contributing to the overall game plan.
* Support and develop technical team members by sharing experience and enhancing skills.
* Ensure all proposals and tenders are submitted according to Sweco processes.
Job Requirements:
* Experience in building control and inspections.
* Minimum RBI level 2D, with preference for 2F or 3.
* Strong understanding of current building regulations and compliance standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to review and assess technical construction documentation.
* Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
* Registered building inspector status (flexibility on level).
* Salary up to £75,000 (DOE).
* Car allowance or salary sacrifice for a company vehicle.
* Pension above statutory rate.
