Desian Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support in a reception class in Widnes Primary School.The RoleWe are looking for a classroom teaching assistant to work full-time in a vibrant and supportive Reception class. This long-term position offers consistency and the opportunity to become an integral part of the school community.This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm term time. The role will be starting as soon as possible and will run to the end of the academic year (July 2026)Key Responsibilities:Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activitiesAssisting with early maths and literacy developmentEncouraging positive behaviour and social skillsHelping to prepare resources and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environmentProviding one-to-one or small group support when neededBuilding strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parentsRequirements:Experience working with children in an early years setting (private day nursery or primary school setting)A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeingA valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Desian Education)Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are beneficial but not essentialWhat We Offer:Long-term placement with consistent hoursCompetitive weekly payOngoing support from your dedicated Desian Education consultantExclusive access to jobs via our partnership schoolsOngoing professional development opportunities
