We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial MET Technician on behalf of a large automotive repair business in Long Bennington. You’ll be working within a well-equipped bodyshop, carrying out strip, refit and diagnostic work on a variety of LCVs and HGVs.
The Role:
1. Carrying out MET strip and refit work on commercial vehicles of all makes and sizes, ensuring repairs are completed safely and efficiently
2. Diagnosing faults, undertaking inspections and supporting the full repair process to high technical standards
3. Ensuring work is completed in line with BSI PAS 10125 and VBRA Elite Truck & Van requirements
4. Using modern tools, equipment and technology to deliver quality and consistency
5. Working with other bodyshop technicians to maintain an organised and efficient workflow
6. Keeping the work area clean, safe and professional at all times
What We’re Looking For:
7. Background in a bodyshop or commercial vehicle repair setting
8. Confident working on both LCV and HGV vehicles
9. A strong eye for detail with a commitment to quality work
10. Experience working to BSI PAS 10125 and VBRA Elite Truck & Van Standards
11. Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and trim components
12. ATA accreditation (or working towards it) is advantageous
13. Problem-solving ability and a professional attitude
