Please quote reference PM1871 on application, Apply Now A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a lady living in the Abercynon area who receives support from family. I have a diagnosis of Dementia and Parkinson’s and I am bedbound. I very much enjoy time with family and having a chat. I also enjoy watching TV and listening to music. PURPOSE OF JOB I require a PA to support me to prepare a meal and to feed me twice a week. Potential for some domestic tasks while at the property. The PA will also provide respite for my main carer. HOURS OF WORK 4 hours per week available which will be worked 2 hours per day. The days are flexible currently and the times are roughly 10:30 – 12:30. Although this can be discussed at interview. RATES OF PAY £13.30 per hour. TASKS INVOLVED Preparing a meal for me. This can be heating a meal and sorting some vegetables for example. Feeding me and ensuring I am safe while doing so. Some domestic tasks while in the house such as laundry or some light cleaning. Having a chat with me and engaging in conversation. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED A non-smoker. Someone with good communication skills. A patient and understanding person. A good listener. Someone who will try and make me smile. A person willing to build a good relationship with me. Someone who respects the privacy of working in someone else’s home. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
