Prescott House Community Mental Health Team are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our successful, friendly and supportive team. We are a committed integrated service that strives to provide quality recovery based support to people with severe and enduring mental health related difficulties within the Salford area. The post requires no professional registration, but experience within mental health is essential. Regular clinical supervision and training opportunities will be provided to the successful candidate. Staff wellbeing is at the heart of our CMHT and staff will be supported by peers and engage with team building events, reflective practice groups, training and acupuncture.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is flexible, creative, committed and able to adapt positively to change. You need to be organised, able to prioritise and work well under pressure.

Main duties and responsibilities
* Be a key member of the CMHT, working directly with service users under the care of the CMHT, as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team which provides care, treatment and support to people with a functional mental illness.
* Provide support to service users in line with the CMHT clinical pathways – namely Assertive Outreach and Dual Diagnosis – and as outlined within the CMHT operational procedure.
* Deliver short-term care to assist service users in developing independent living skills.
* Provide support, advice and practical assistance to an allocated group of service users under the direction and supervision of a qualified staff member, following a care plan to facilitate goal planning, achievement and recovery.
* Support carers of service users and provide a carers clinic with carers assessments.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Numeracy and Literacy
* Experience of working in mental health
