If so, we have an exciting opportunity for two Team Managers to join our Assessment and Intervention Service, covering North & Mid Devon.
As a Team Manager within our Assessment & Intervention Service, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of children’s social care across North & Mid Devon. You’ll lead a dedicated team of professionals, supporting them in the continual development of their skills and practice. Through reflective supervision, you’ll champion both personal and professional growth, creating opportunities for learning and development. By fostering trusting and professional relationships, you’ll work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and their families in Devon.
What we are looking for
As a Team Manager, your skills and experience will include:
1. Significant experience working within children’s social care, including in a multi-agency environment
2. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and support a team
3. Extensive knowledge of legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work, ensuring high standards of practice and compliance with statutory requirements
4. A commitment to championing continuous improvement, creating opportunities for learning and development
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals
6. Confident decision-making skills, including the ability to make difficult decisions to achieve successful outcomes for children
7. A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
8. Successful completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
9. High-level written and verbal communication skills
10. Exceptional recording and planning abilities
11. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car *

This role is currently eligible for a retention payment of £2,000 per annum pro rata (terms & conditions apply).
In addition to this, we are now offering a £5,000 Welcome Payment to eligible new permanent staff joining the North and Mid Devon locality. Payment will be received in full in your first or second salary of joining us (pro rata for part-time staff and subject to standard deductions).

To be eligible, applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Sponsorship will be assessed as part of the recruitment process.
