The Role This is a senior engineering leadership position acting as the most senior engineering authority on site. You will lead the engineering function, driving performance, automation, and continuous improvement across a complex, high-volume food production environment. The role is critical in delivering improvements in reliability, efficiency, and operational performance, while ensuring full compliance across safety, quality, and food standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the site engineering team and drive high performance culture Maximise plant efficiency and OEE through strong engineering leadership Own PPM strategy and breakdown response effectiveness Lead automation, reliability, and improvement initiatives across the site Manage contractors, ensuring full compliance with site safety systems Ensure adherence to GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety legislation Oversee engineering budgets and maintenance spend Lead CAPEX and site improvement projects Drive audit readiness and compliance standards Work closely with senior site leadership on strategy and performance delivery Champion continuous improvement and modern engineering practices The Ideal Candidate Proven senior engineering leader in FMCG / food manufacturing Strong experience managing engineering teams in high-pressure environments Background in automation, mechatronics, or modern production systems Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Excellent understanding of compliance, GMP, and safety systems Commercially aware with strong budgeting and planning capability Hands-on leader with ability to drive accountability and performance Why Apply?
