About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid Writer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience preparing compelling bid and tender submissions.
Working closely with the Partnerships Manager and wider operational teams, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, compliant, and persuasive bid responses that support the continued growth of the business.
You will be joining a collaborative bid team consisting of:
1. 1 Bid Coordinator
2. 1 Full-Time Bid Writer
3. 1 Part-Time Junior Bid Writer
Reporting directly to the Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in managing and delivering submissions across a range of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
4. Writing, editing, and submitting high-quality bids and tender responses
5. Reviewing tender documentation and interpreting client requirements
6. Producing clear, compelling, and compliant written content
7. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather technical and operational information
8. Managing multiple deadlines and ensuring timely submissions
9. Proofreading and quality-checking bid content before submission
10. Maintaining and updating bid libraries, templates, and supporting documents
11. Supporting continuous improvement of bid processes and documentation
Experience & Skills Required
Essential
12. Minimum 1 year's experience in a Bid Writer role
OR
13. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Bid Coordinator role
14. Excellent written English and proofreading skills
15. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
16. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
17. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
18. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
19. Previous experience within the construction industry
20. Experience working on public and/or private sector tenders
21. Understanding of bid management processes and frameworks
