Local organisation looking for their next permanent customer advisor Your new company A leading organisation in the private sector is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their dynamic Customer Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where customer satisfaction, safety, and operational excellence are at the heart of everything they do. This role is permanent, based Airport Road West and is 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Fridays (37 hours per week). Your new role As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality service to customers. You will be responsible for recording customer and job request details, coordinating maintenance and new connection planning, and handling both inbound and outbound communications. Your role will also involve general administrative duties, data input, and liaising with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery.Key responsibilities include: Planning and administration of maintenance jobs. Coordinating with customers, contractors, and external agencies to schedule work. Handling customer enquiries and complaints via phone and email. Responding to customer emergencies and accurately recording incident details. Updating internal systems with connection, metering, and service information. Supporting engineering administration and document management. Promoting health and safety, customer care, and continuous improvement. What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C or above. At least 1 year’s experience in a customer service role handling telephone enquiries. At least 2 years’ administrative experience. Strong IT skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: Experience in planning or scheduling within a utilities or engineering environment. Familiarity with diary management systems and high-volume data entry. Experience in complaint handling and customer resolution.
