My client is a legal sector research, rankings, insights, and awards provider for law firms across the globe. As a result of a recent acquisition my client seeks a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant in a newly created role.

Due to this exciting change for the business there are a number of new roles created within the UK Head Office to base in London and this role is one of the new roles in this newly formed team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this will be a critical role within the team. This role will suit someone who has at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. This is an excellent role for someone looking to assist business growth and process alongside the growth.

Main responsibilities will be:

* Processing invoices for the purchase ledger across all entities and arranging payment runs to suppliers. This is a not a high volume of invoices, but they can be complex and contain international payments.

* Supplier statement reconciliation

* Checking employee expenses across all entities are processed correctly and paid within an agreed timescale.

* Processing credit card claims monthly.

* Overseeing the bank postings and reconcile on a weekly basis across all entities.

* Assisting with client invoicing queries

* Assisting with the trial balance at month end, working with the Management Accountant

* Ensuring all processes are accurate, timely and meet data integrity requirement.

Qualifications/Experience needed:

* Prior experience in an accounts team having worked within P2P for approx. 2-3 years and assisting to trial balance.

* Prior experience of multiple currency ledgers preferable but not essential

* Excellent people and relationship building skills are essential.

* Attention to detail.

* Excellent organisation skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technology platforms.

* Competence in Microsoft Office especially Excel

* Experience of QuickBooks/Intacct an advantage but not essential
