Overview
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver clinical services encompassing all aspects of cardiac surgery excluding transplantation. The candidate will also be expected to have substantial experience in dealing with urgent inpatient work and reoperative cardiac surgery. The successful candidate will participate in the Consultant cardiac surgical on-call rota, currently 1:5. RSUH is a Major Trauma Centre and the post holder will be expected to provide Cardiothoracic Surgical support for that service.
