Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ,reliable and well presented driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working in events or removals and have experience with driving Luton Vans as you will be working alongside a very high profile client. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. The driver will be responsible for transporting goods, with very strict deadlines and maintaining the integrity of the vehicles used.
Duties
* Start times will be from around 10am/11am daily
* Operate a commercial vehicle
* Load and unload cargo using pallet trucks and forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that arise during transport.
* Navigate mainly London routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintenance activities.
* Assist in moving heavy equipment as needed within warehouse or on site events
Qualifications
* Proven experience in delivery driving or commercial driving roles.
* Strong communication skills
* A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 48 per week
