Job Summary
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of commercial activity on a variety of retrofit projects, ensuring financial rigor, profitability, and successful delivery. Youll be a key player in shaping project outcomes, identifying cost savings, driving commercial performance, and helping to deliver high-quality energy efficiency solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead on all Quantity Surveying activities for live retrofit projects
Deliver cost control, invoicing, and project management to achieve margin expectations
Identify and deliver cost savings through proactive commercial management
Manage cost plans and ensure projects are delivered on budget while maximising cashflow
Manage delivery and maintain strong client liaison on ECO and Green Homes Grant insulation installations
Ensure all payment applications are accurate, within budget, and deliver best value
Carry out commercial analysis on live SMS projects and provide insightful advice
Maintain project documentation and cost breakdowns to provide accurate month-end figures
Support the finance team by maintaining detailed cost and invoicing records on live projects
Assist in establishing client requirements and contribute to feasibility studies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK
Background in energy efficiency retrofit projects
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Credentials, Qualifications and Experience
Quantity Surveyor accreditation
Supervisory experience is an advantage
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to train, mentor, and support staff
