Overview
As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams; deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required; work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients; ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role; model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coaching, line management and development of clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Requirements and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse - Adult (current professional qualification, NMC)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (not essential, but ideal)
* Enhanced Clinical Practitioner L6 or L7
* Advanced Clinical Practitioner L7 (includes NMP)
About the Role and Environment
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester. HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. The site offers a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates. Role Details
This position is full time. Salary is between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum, depending on experience.
