This innovative epidemiologist role is within the Center for Advanced Evidence Generation (CAEG) at IQVIA, reporting directly to the Chief Scientific Officer. CAEG collaborates with scientific teams across IQVIA and is responsible for driving innovation in patient health, focusing on real-world evidence (RWE) for regulatory decision-making, and utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) in research. Our team works both internally and externally with industry groups and public-private partnerships.
Job Overview:
* Drive innovation by collaborating with IQVIA’s scientific, technical, and product development teams to generate thought leadership and provide epidemiologic expertise on study design and interpretation for innovative studies.
* Provide expert consultation and guidance to internal teams, departments, and clients in observational study methods, statistical methods, and AI/ML to ensure high scientific validity and integrity of results.
* Support the development of protocols, manuscripts, and study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness.
* Contribute to regional and global department leadership, including support for new business development, product creation, publications, and client projects.
Requirements:
* PhD (or equivalent) in epidemiology, data science, or a related scientific discipline, with sound methodological training and at least 7 years of experience.
* Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
* Strong writing skills, publication experience, scientific presentation experience, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Ability to oversee and guide study protocols scientifically.
* Robust background in study design and epidemiologic methods, with interest and experience in AI/ML.
* Strong quantitative and methodological skills, with a team-oriented and critical, creative scientific approach.
