Finance & Administration Officer – Scale 5

Hours: 37 hours per week | Term Time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks)

Salary: £24,910 – £26,143

Location: Chelmsford

What You’ll Be Doing

* Managing day-to-day financial processes – purchase orders, invoices and transactions
* Supporting budget monitoring and financial reporting
* Administering school trips and ParentPay systems
* Maintaining contracts, records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
* Providing high-quality administrative support across school operations


Essential Skills & Experience

* Experienced in finance, accounting or financial administration
* Educated to NVQ Level 3
* Confident using financial systems and IT packages
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
* Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
* A clear communicator, able to liaise effectively with staff and stakeholders
* Calm under pressure and a strong team player


You’ll Also Bring

* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Confidence supporting and advising staff on financial matters
* A commitment to high professional standards, confidentiality and accuracy
