The role
supports partner intelligence agencies in managing the risk posed-by international terrorism, Northern Ireland-related terrorism, ERWT (Extreme Right Wing Terrorism), LASIT (Leftwing and Self-Initiated Terrorism), espionage and other national security issues. It also plays a vital role in ensuring the national counter-terrorism network is effectively linked into local policing.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified detective with experience of supervising investigative or intelligence work including covert techniques, intelligence development and management of risk.
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain enhanced security vetting level, DV and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. In addition you must be a British National and able to provide documentary evidence of this.
