Responsibilities
* Contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (Masters and PhD) in the School of Economics.
* Take a leadership role in the School’s policy think tank, Global Economic Policy.
* Participate in the organisation, management and strategic planning of the School of Economics and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
* Contribute to the University’s strategic planning processes.
* Act as principal investigator on major research projects in the applicant’s area of expertise and identify opportunities for new research projects.
* Take responsibility for the quality and design of courses and programmes, maintain high teaching standards and contribute to the development of teaching methods and assessments.
* May have line‑management responsibilities, including the professional development of junior academic faculty and contributing to overall administration of the School and its research units as required by the Head of School.
Qualifications
* PhD degree in economics.
* Internationally recognised research programme in macroeconomics, international trade and/or international macroeconomics.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
* Experience and excellence in teaching and research in either Macroeconomics, International Economics or Trade.
Contract & Remuneration
Initially offered a five‑year contract, which may be extended to a continuing appointment based on performance.
Remuneration package includes a competitive salary, accommodation allowance, health insurance, schooling support, home flight, relocation and repatriation support, and paid annual leave.
