Job Title: Mental Health Assistant
Location: Luton
Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 16:30
This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals with previous SEN experience or graduates with a keen interest in this area of work within Luton.
The role is ideal for those seeking hands-on experience to develop their education and training in social, emotional, and mental health needs. If you’re interested in a career in youth work, this opportunity is not to be missed.
Responsibilities:
* Provide first-class support to children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and speech, language, and communication needs.
* Work closely with the clinical team within the Luton school to develop your skills through education and training.
Requirements:
* An undergraduate degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, especially suitable for Criminology and Psychology graduates.
* An interest in mental health and Autism.
* Keen understanding or knowledge of various learning and behavioral needs, including SEMH elements.
* Local commute to Luton.
