Ross Construction UK, an established and growing construction company, is seeking a Commercial Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual elements of high-value façade and building envelope projects from pre-contract through to final account. This senior role offers scope to influence strategy, secure major contracts, and lead a high-performing commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:
Estimating – Prepare accurate cost estimates from drawings/specifications; analyse subcontractor/supplier quotes; conduct risk assessments; maintain up-to-date cost databases.
Commercial Management – Oversee budgets, contracts, variations, and cost reporting; track performance; identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Tendering & Procurement – Lead competitive tenders; manage subcontractor/supplier procurement; evaluate bids; ensure compliance with policies and UK regulations.
Client Liaison – Serve as main commercial contact; negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers; advise on cost planning, procurement strategy, and value engineering; secure repeat business.
Team Leadership – Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing commercial team; foster a collaborative, results-focused culture.
What you bring:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Strong building background with proven expertise in brick-and-block façades and complex building envelopes
• RICS/CIOB preferred
• Track record of managing high-value contracts from pre-contract to final account
• Proficiency in estimating software & MS Office
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in line with programme and budget
