Commercial Property Solicitor Rate: £50-£60 per hour - Negotiable DOE Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract East Midlands Local Authority Flexible Hybrid Working We are looking for a motivated and skilled Commercial Property Solicitor to support the delivery of expert legal services at a local authority based in the East Midlands. The successful candidate will have a strong background and experience acting for local authorities in both freehold and leasehold land transactions and be capable of managing a busy case list. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice and representation across a defined caseload, including land disposals, acquisitions, and advising on commercial landlord and tenant cases. Support and represent the authority in legal proceedings and meetings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and governance developments. Work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders. Key Requirements Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate. Strong understanding of local government statutory and governance frameworks. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience working in or advising a local authority (Desirable).
