Who We Are
NHS Ayrshire and Arran are one of 14 territorial NHS Boards within NHS Scotland.
Position
Health Visitor based within the Kilmarnock Area. These posts are offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
21.6 hours per week.
28.8 hours per week.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence
UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
You will work in partnership with local children and their families, alongside colleagues in NHS and partner services to enable children to have the best possible start in life and reach their optimum health outcomes. The successful applicant will work with an excellent team of Health Visitors and other Early Years staff to provide a service directed by the Universal Health Visiting Pathway.
Knowledge, Training And/Or Experience Required For This Post
Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
Post registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC register, with a key interest in early intervention in the early years.
