Essential Requirements
1. Active enhanced DBS
2. Experience in sheltered housing
Key Responsibilities
3. Contribute to service development and tenant involvement to improve tenant satisfaction.
4. Deliver a comprehensive Enhanced Housing Management service to help tenants maintain their tenancy, access housing services, use technology appropriately, and ensure effective signposting to other services.
5. Carry out systematic monitoring and inspection of sheltered housing schemes to provide secure, clean and well-maintained communal areas and services.
6. Deal effectively with a range of complex issues with the potential for significant implications for tenants.
7. Report and monitor household repairs for tenants unable to do so, and coordinate deployment of handy persons where needed.
8. Facilitate and promote social activities within the scheme and coordinate use of communal facilities to enhance quality of life for tenants.
9. Minimise loss of revenue from vacant homes by arranging viewings and monitoring conditions of vacant flats.
10. Ensure effective resettlement of new tenants, providing information about scheme facilities, tenancy matters and local services.
11. Liaise with internal and external agencies to minimise rent arrears and promote financial inclusion.
12. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and working practices.

The successful candidate will demonstrate;
13. Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements of sheltered housing schemes.
14. Working knowledge of risk assessments and risk management.
15. Understanding of equalities issues.
16. Ability to organise and prioritise workload and act promptly in urgent situations.
17. Effective communication and liaison skills with colleagues, tenants, carers, council departments and external agencies.
18. Excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
19. Awareness of safeguarding, lone working and customer care issues.
