Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Financial Controller to join our Finance Department at our Appleton Thorn site.
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for the production and integrity of internal and external management reporting ensuring they remain relevant and in line with industry best practice.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.
Job responsibilities of Financial Controller include:
1. Oversee production of the weekly contract management reporting including presentation of the results with explanation on variances to plan to Eventor MD, ESL FD
2. Oversee production of the weekly client management reporting including presentation of the results with explanation on variances to plan to client management
3. Oversee month end close and production of the Sectors monthly reporting pack for ESL Group both P&L and Balance Sheet
4. Oversee month end close and production of the clients monthly reporting packs
5. Quarterly forecast process, presentation of results to Sector MD, ESL FD
6. All aspects of the annual budget process ensuring that results are delivered to the timetable set by Culina Group
7. Production of clients Budget and Forecasts to be produced in line with timetables as issued by the clients
8. Financial business partner to the Sector MD supporting him in all financial aspects of his business
9. Produce new business pricing using the Sector’s commercial pricing models
10. Management of financial risk including sign off of contracted new business streams and support of aged debt recovery
11. Development of the financial reporting suite to ensure that it meets the businesses requirements and represents industry best practice
12. Head up financial projects specific to the Sector
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Financial Controller, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
13. CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified, QBE considered but only if with specific industry knowledge
14. 3 years + experience of working in transport centric logistics business either own account or 3PL - preferred
15. Involvement in commercial pricing exercises
16. Advanced Microsoft user
17. Experience of a shared user transport business
