Service Advisor Needed in Oldham
1. Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
2. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (30-minute lunch)
3. Holidays: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
We’re working with a respected and expanding Independent Specialist Group in Oldham who are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their professional team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in automotive customer service and administration to develop their career within the motor trade.
Role Responsibilities for a Service Advisor:
4. Greet customers and handle enquiries regarding their vehicles.
5. Advise customers on required services or repairs based on mileage, time, and cost.
6. Schedule service appointments and manage daily workshop bookings.
7. Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records, both electronically and in service history books.
8. Prepare and explain repair estimates, invoices, and payment details.
9. Keep customers updated on vehicle progress, costs, and completion times.
10. Promote additional services and products while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
11. Process customer payments and ensure billing accuracy.
12. Support the Service Department with administrative duties.
13. Maintain a tidy, professional, and welcoming service area.
Requirements for the Service Advisor role:
14. At least 2 years of customer service experience (required)
15. At least 2 years of administrative experience (required)
16. Excellent communication and organisational skills
17. Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
18. A proactive and reliable attitude
19. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
20. Previous motor trade or service reception experience (preferred but not essential)
