The Role for the maintenance engineer
A proactive and electrically biased Maintenance Engineer is required to join a well-established engineering team at a fully automated, SCADA-controlled production site operating 24/7. You'll work as part of a team of 3 engineers per shift, ensuring plant and equipment run reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities of the maintenance engineer
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of plant and machinery
* Support optimal machine performance and reduce downtime
* Perform routine site walk arounds for general facility checks (leaks, alarms, switches)
* Mechanical work including replacing beater bars, bearings, chains, belts, sprockets, and ensuring proper alignment
* Assist in commissioning new production lines
Ideal Candidate Profile for the maintenance engineer
* Electrically biased with strong mechanical competence
* Electrical Qualification
* PLC fault-finding experience
* Comfortable working at height and in physically demanding conditions
* Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
