Duties/Responsibilities:
* Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
* Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs and supplies required.
* Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
* Request supplies and materials needed for repairs and
* Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
* Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
* Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
* Identifies the root causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
* Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
* Prepares reports documenting work performed.
* Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
* Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
* Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
* Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
* Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* Salary $22 - 27 per hour based on experience

Required Skills/Abilities:
* Ability to follow instructions from leadership, other maintenance team workers, and any other subject matter expert.
* Advanced knowledge of general carpentry, mechanical and plumbing
* Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and with efficiency.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Must be able to safely operate power industrial vehicles. (Forklift, skid steer, tractor, ect)
* Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Works well independently and with others.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
* Able to mentor and train technicians, contractors, and operators.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Related experience preferred.
* Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
* On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and walking.
* Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Must be able to visually inspect machines.
* Must be able to work inside or outside year round.
* Must be able to work at heights of 30’ with proper PPE.
