We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver / Warehouse FLT Operator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
* Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate a Class 2 HGV to transport goods to designated locations safely.
* Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic conditions.
* Load Securement: Ensure that all goods are properly secured in accordance with safety standards.
* Pre-Trip Vehicle Checks: Conduct vehicle inspections, ensuring all safety features (tires, lights, brakes, etc.) are functioning.
* Customer Interaction: Deliver goods professionally, representing the company with excellent customer service.
* Documentation: Complete all required paperwork and digital logs, such as delivery notes and driver logs.
* Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all road safety laws, working time regulations, and health & safety policies.
* Efficient Loading & Unloading: Assist with the safe loading and unloading of goods in both the warehouse and on-site.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Report vehicle faults promptly and arrange repairs when necessary.
* Warehouse FLT Operation: Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) to move stock within the warehouse, assisting with inventory checks and stock organisation.
* Safety Standards: Maintain high health and safety standards, reporting any risks or issues immediately.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Class 2 HGV License – Required
* Counterbalance FLT License – Required (External applicants only)
* A strong understanding of road safety and delivery regulations
* Experience in loading, unloading, and warehouse stock management
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills for customer interactions
