Job Summary
As Food and Beverage Manager, you'll lead and support your team at one of the National Trust's busy visitor attractions. This involves handling things behind the scenes, from administration to developing people and everything in between. You'll champion outstanding customer service and keep presentation standards high, to help give all our visitors an enjoyable day.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support your team at one of the National Trust's busy visitor attractions.
* Handle behind‑the‑scenes tasks, from administration to people development.
* Champion outstanding customer service and keep presentation standards high for all visitors.
* Lead and run the café on a day‑to‑day basis, enabling the team to focus on their tasks.
* Build a great place to work by recruiting, training and encouraging high achievement through setting objectives and reviewing performance.
* Support the wider property team as required.
* Work with the Area Manager to set and achieve financial targets, overseeing results and acting when needed.
* Identify opportunities and make strategic decisions for the future of your department.
* Seek ways to improve operations based on feedback from the team and visitors.
* Deliver induction, training in allergens and food safety, and mentoring as required.
Qualifications
* Experience as a leader, with skills including setting personal objectives and providing development.
* Familiar with budgets, increasing income and controlling costs (including managing stock and waste).
* Confident in identifying new opportunities and making strategic decisions for the future of your department.
* Good with people, with a can‑do attitude.
* Aware of health and safety compliance.

* Full‑time schedule: 1950 hours per year (flexible depending on the time of the year).
* Salary: £30,966.
* Fixed term contract until 1st August 2027.
