Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their LEQ team. About Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful: A charity dedicated to improving the environment and communities through initiatives promoting sustainability and a cleaner, greener future.
Role Overview: Coordinate and project manage environmental quality programs, work with the Local Environmental Quality Manager, ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervise departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources and staff to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programs like Blue Flag and Green Flag, conduct surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Promote community participation and expand coverage of sustainability programs.
5. Communications: Serve as primary contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity, and prepare content.
6. Research Support: Assist in research, policy analysis, and stay updated on methodologies.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' experience, 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years program delivery, 1 year staff supervision.
Desirable: Data collection, analysis, voluntary sector or local government experience.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and access to transport.
* Knowledge of environmental issues.
* Effective team and independent working abilities.
Additional Notes:
Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and flexible working hours may be required. Core hours are 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 8am-6pm. Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent, subject to funding. This position is partly funded by the DAERA Environment Fund.
