Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager at Age UK, Bognor Regis
Age UK is recruiting! With over 250 locations across the UK, our stores raise funds for vital services supporting older people.
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our Bognor Regis (Arun Retail Park) team. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, lead a team of Sales Assistants and volunteers, and ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers.
This role offers the chance to make a difference in the community while developing your retail leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager in daily store operations
* Lead and motivate staff and volunteers
* Ensure excellent customer service
* Manage stock and store presentation
* Assist with financial reporting and stock management
Requirements
You will have:
* Ability to work collaboratively with the Store Manager
* Physical ability to lift and carry stock up to 10kg
* Leadership skills to manage a team of staff and volunteers
* Delegation and coaching skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Time management skills under conflicting priorities
* IT literacy and numeracy skills
Ideally, you will also have:
* Experience in retail processes
* Understanding of financial reports
* Experience in customer-facing roles
