NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Sunday and the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare support worker to join our Older People’s team in RAH as a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner. The applicant will be expected to provide direct clinical care for both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy including assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning.
The applicant will be expected to be clinically responsible for managing a caseload of patients while following guidelines as directed by the qualified therapists.
You must be flexible, innovative, patient centred and a team player with good communication skills as well as having a desire to participate in furthering the development of the Older Peoples service.
Regular supervision and support will be offered as well as training opportunities as required.
It is essential you have previous experience as a AHP support worker and desirable that you have NHS experience.
